I am loving this cupcake!

Svgcuts.com has done it again! I am loving this cupcake! It opens up and you can add treats inside. I hope you enjoy this project. If you want more information on this project, please leave me a comment.
Thanks!

A few things to share.

First of all, how are you all? I hope you are all doing well. Second, Michaels has paper for $0.16 or 6 for $0.96, this is the cheapest they sell it!! Third, Joanns has velum paper for 40% off, so its $0.99, you can get it for $.60 for an 8.5X11 or 12X12 for $1.20 regular $1.99.  As you can see I made this lantern using the velum paper. If you have cricut & SCAL2, or other cutting machine you can find this lantern at svgcuts.com <<< they are awesome!! So, I hope you guys enjoy this post. I have several projects I will be posting soon.

I used metallic brown paper for the lantern & floral velum paper. I embossed using the cuttlebug. Not sure about the name of the cuttlebug folder. Inside, you can add those flickering flameless candles.

As always, have a fantastic day.

Easter Projects

I am inviting my neighbors to my house on Easter.  They have four kids ages 2-14.  I am making them baskets with treats in them.  I bought this file through svgcuts.com. They have amazing kits, please visit them! The beauty of using svg files from this company is that I do not have to wory about resizing. The only thing you have to do is come up with the colors and patterns. FYI: this is for those of you who use SCAL2 with cricut, or other cutting machine. I hope you enjoy these projects.

Valentine Goodies

Valentines is such a great day to express your love to others. My twins are 14 (almost 15) and they don't get as excited as I do. These Valentine goodies are skittles and skittle sours candy boxes. I wrapped them with valentine paper from Michaels, Recollection brand. The teddy bears and heart balloons are from svgcuts.com FREE files!! I love their cuts! I cut the bear at 3.5 inches, and the balloon was 4.5X2, I think.
These were dropped off at their school and anonymously delivered to them during their 3rd period. I know they felt special when they received them...

Hope you enjoy this craft!

SCAL2 & CCR Who Knew?

When I downloaded SCAL a few years ago, I was so happy with it. I used it more than I used my carts. I loved the idea of creating my own designs.  When I updated to SCAL2, I was even happier. It was much better than SCAL1. Then I heard about the Provo craft lawsuit… YIKES! Drama in the Crafting world was unexpected.  So, fearing losing SCAL2 I never updated my Cricut Expression.

When I heard about Cricut Craft Room, I searched and searched for information regarding using SCAL2 & CCR.  I was afraid that I was going to lose SCAL if I downloaded CCR so I never did it.  When I got my Imagine for Christmas I did not really enjoy it.  I felt limited.  My husband even asked my why I did not use it. I realized that it was because I was too used to creating on my computer.
On Super Bowl weekend, I told my husband that I was going to craft and I will only leave my craft room when I needed a refill on wings and pizza.  This is when I downloaded CCR and updated my Imagine.  All went well with the updates and downloads.  So, I played with CCR and really fell in love with it.
Today… I plugged in my E and guess what? I cut with SCAL2!
In conclusion, I have both CCR and SCAL2 on my PC and I can use both of them, however, SCAL2 will only cut with the E and CCR will only cut with Imagine.  That is exactly how I wanted it!
Sorry for the long post, I just hope this helps someone!
Have a great day Crafty Crafters J

Happy Birdie To You!

As a crafter, I fancy myself an artist. So when someone requested that I make them a birthday card, I was flattered. I wanted to make something cute and unique. A few months ago I received a free font set from lettering delights. I was afraid to use it because I had to do a lot of "break apart" on SCAL. Today, I tried it and had a lot of fun. Here is the card "Happy Birdie to You". I got this image from letteringdelights.com. I used a "birthday" folder from Cuttlebug. I hope you enjoy this card.
Have a great day!

I am back!

Apologizes to all my readers who actually care about my crafting, but I took some time off.  I had to regroup, reorganize, and get re-inspired.  I am sure some of you know what I mean by this.  Anyways, I wanted to start this blog by showing you a personal project that I worked very hard on.  It is a chip board album that I made for my sisters birthday. This album took forever to make but I had the best time making it.

I hope you enjoy this project. If you have questions, please facebook me or comment. I will respond.

Have a Great DAY!
