Accordion Album

I made my first accordion album. I know this is a last year’s trend but I just learned about it now. This one is of Craig and me first year anniversary. We went back to Reagan Beach and ate stale cake and reminisced. I like the album but I do not like that I could only add four square pictures.
This album was fairly easy to make. Its three 8X8 sheets that are each folded in fours then one diagonal line. Then the trick is in the folding. There are many YouTube tutorials online, just  key in accordion albums on youtube.com.

Hope you enjoy.

I am back with Santa!

Well for those of you who read this blog I took a bit of time off from crafting. Whenever I do this I get the urge to craft and it allows me to concentrate. After hours of playing with SCAL2 I designed my own bag. I didn't know how to decorate it, but then I remembered someone making a Santa bag (Thanks for inspiration people!). I decided to make my own. I cut the bag out 12X6 and after I scored it, decorated it, and glued it the box is 3.5X2X4. The strap is 9in. long and the scallop circle (cut out with a hole punch) is 2in. As you can see, Santas face is missing. The idea is to use white tissue paper so that it represents his beard. If you are interested in more information on this box, or would like one please post me a message here or on my facebook http://www.facebook.com/#!/vhallgren1
Thank you for reading and have a great day

A boy card using robotz

If I ever have a little son I would make him an invitation like this one. I used the Robotz cart. I do not really like using this cart because it has way too many parts, but it would be worth it for a cool robot party. I hope you guys enjoy this card.

Concept card

I made this card because I was looking for a gift card holder. The bag is from Plantin School book cart. The banner I made from SCAL2 but was inspired by creativetimeforme.com creator Emma, she sells the amazing dies and stamps sets. I used my Gypsy to create the window and the bag. Hope you like it. Have a great day :D

Just found these...

2010 Valentines gifts for family and coworkers. I made these using Cricut Paisley cart and Wild Card I think! Well, the cat and frog have a box (the box TBB&M) filled with chocolates and the bee has a little bag filled with candy inside.

Matching Purse

I had so much fun making the stiletto card that I made a matching purse. For the leaves I used cuttlebug emboss the swirls. I am highly considering these for my moms next birthday party favor. These are a little larger, so I will need to add more fun items to fill them.
Thanks for looking!

I needed to craft badly today.

So I made a paper drawer using tags, bags, boxes and more cart. Just FYI for those of you who know what I am talking about, the drawer pieces needs to be 1/4 of an inch smaller than the wrap around part.
I am not too happy about this drawer. I have made much nicer ones and I did not take pictures of them. Well, I am going to work on my next project, I am thinking a pumpkin. Hope you enjoy this one. For more info on this project please post a comment.
Thanks :D

Hey Pancho, were did you get that pancho?

My husband, niece, nephew and myself went to the Halloween store and got this for my niece. We looked around and this is what she liked. Pancho. The name tag was made using my cricut and SCAL. The chile is under the Webdings font. Hope you enjoy.

Ps. Isn't she cute!

Moms Birthday

Since I have brought up my moms birthday, here is her simple birthday invitation and her purse party favor. Every year I make a purse party favor and add fancy candy to it. Only the moms get these and every year they expect their little purses. This one was made with Tag Bags Boxes and More. I used super glue to glue them and heavy duty glitter card stock. It took a toll of my cricut! But they were fun to make.

Recycled Thank You Cards

Okay, so I made these notepads when I first got my bind-it-all (BIA). For those of you who do not know a BIA is a personal binding machine, basically, it holds everything together (its freaking awesome machine!)

The history of how these came about... Well my mom had a birthday earlier this year and I made her birthday invitations using my cricut. I went to Michaels to purchase envelopes for these invites but did not want to pay $4.99 for twenty, besides I needed 24. So as I walk away to go to Joann’s, I noticed they had in their dollar section Thank You cards for $1! And they each contained 18 cards and envelopes. I only needed the envelope (BTW perfect size) so I bought two. This left me with 36 Thank You cards.

When I got my BIA a few months later, I did not know how I would use it. When I saw the TY cards I decided that they would be my front and back of my notepads. Several glue sticks and a ton of card stock later... this is what I came up with.

I actually made several but sold a bunch in an Art Yard Sale my and my niece hosted.

Hope you enjoy looking at these!

This Penguin makes me smile :)

This guy is super cute! I found him online. I made a search for Christmas coloring pages and found him. You probably wonder why my search included coloring pages. Well this is because coloring pages are black and white and when I trace on my SCAL I get a much cleaner file to cut. On this card I did stitching for the first time! That is why it is not the best, but I am working on it. If you want to find out more information about this card please post me a message.

Merry Chickmas!

For those of you who are in a Christmas mood here are chick Christmas cards I made a week ago. I got the chick from microsoft clip art and pasted on paint. I made him black and white and then traced him on SCAL. I then separated all the parts and cut them using my cricut. I did the same with the tree. The snow is several half circles welded to create a scalloped border. The red border card is a completed card and the blue (w/out red border) will go on a dark blue card. I did some stitching on the tree using a white Gelly Roll pen. I hope you like them.

My nephew suggested that I write "Merry Chickmas!" this makes even cuter!

Thanksgiving is coming up and I like to give my coworkers and friends a little something. This allows me to craft for a reason. This year I will give out Pumpkin Pies from McDonalds. They are a delicious $.50 treat that will look cute. For the turkey and "give Thanks" saying I downloaded the file from svgcuts.com for free.

Here are the ingredients
brown paper Argyle: to wrap around the box
gold cardstock: for the background of the lettering and the turkey feathers
green cardstock: for the lettering
brown cardstock: for the shadowing affect on the "Thanks"
orange: for the turkeys beak-
googly eyes
brown eyelet: for the dot over the i (I added the eyelt with my cropadile.)

I cut out the file at 3.5X5 using my cricut and then glued everything together. Hope you guys enjoy!

Have a fantastic day!

Welcome

Welcome to my first post. I started this blog because I want to express myself with my craft. I have a cricut and cuttle bug and I love to create using them together. I also us SCAL which allows me to use my own custom images and cut them out. Aside from my own images, I use pictures I find online. I have many other crafting items such as a cropadile, scorepal, binditall, etc. It is almost hard to use them all at the same time. Recently my husband (a great man) repainted our spare room and we now call it my craftroom. Well, I hope you all enjoy my projects and though I proably wont have any followers for a while, those who do come in please leave me an inspirational comment. Have a fantastic day!
